Version: 1.1
Developer: Santrina (independent developer)
Contact email: gamesearch16@gmail.com
Country: Netherlands
This Privacy Policy (the Policy) describes what data may be processed when you use the App, for what purposes, on what legal bases, how long it is kept, and what rights users have.
The Operator is Santrina (independent developer), operating the App (rights holder/administrator); country: the Netherlands. You can contact the Operator at the email address above and through the channels listed in sections 13 and 16.
1. Scope
1.1. The Policy applies to the App and related services available to the User.
1.2. By using the App, the User confirms that they have read the Policy and understand its terms.
1.3. The Policy does not govern processing by third-party services the User uses separately (for example, app stores, device manufacturers, internet providers), but the App may use third-party SDKs/infrastructure (see section 7).
2. Data that may be processed
The data involved depends on which features you use. The App may process:
2.1. Account data
- account identifier (internal ID);
- username or nickname (where applicable);
- e-mail/phone or other login identifier (where used);
- account status information (for example, active/restricted).
2.2. Profile and user-generated content
- profile photo/avatar (image you choose);
- comments and other text you publish;
- operational metadata for such content (date/time, link to an in-app object, technical format).
2.3. Technical data and logs
- IP address, date and time of requests;
- device and app information (model, OS, app version, language);
- technical identifiers needed for session operation and security;
- error/crash logs and diagnostic information.
2.4. Usage data
- in-app events (for example, screen views, taps, session length) — if analytics is enabled.
2.5. Support correspondence (if introduced)
- content of requests, attachments, and technical information needed to respond.
2.6. Reports, moderation, and community rules
If the User uses reporting on content or other users, the following may be processed:
- reporter identifier (for example, account UID);
- subject of the report (content, user, post);
- report text/category and explanation;
- operational metadata (date and time, technical request identifiers);
- information on measures taken (for example, moderation decisions), where recorded in the system.
2.7. Abuse prevention (registration and repeat violations)
To protect the service from spam and abuse, limited information may be processed, including:
- e-mail address or parts of it (including domain), patterns, and lists used to decline or restrict registration;
- account identifiers and aggregated violation-related data (for example, for repeat-offender policies where applicable).
2.8. Messages
If user-to-user messaging is available in the App, we may process:
- message content sent between users within the App;
- message metadata (time, sender, recipient).
2.9. Search data
- search queries you enter in the App;
- saved or recent search history.
The App is not intended to hold special categories of personal data (for example, health or political views). Please do not post such information in comments or your profile.
3. Purposes of processing
Data may be processed to:
- create and administer the account;
- display the profile (including photo) and provide commenting features;
- keep the App working, sync data, and prevent abuse;
- moderate user-generated content and enforce App rules;
- handle reports and record moderation outcomes (to the extent described in section 2);
- restrict registration and record repeat violations (to the extent described in section 2);
- analyse and improve quality (including bug fixes and stability);
- comply with legal requirements and lawful requests from competent authorities.
4. Legal bases for processing
Processing may rely on the following (depending on applicable law and the situation):
- performance of a contract with the User (providing App features under the User Agreement);
- consent of the User (for example, where the feature requires OS permissions or optional analytics/marketing notifications are enabled);
- legitimate interests of the Operator (security, fraud prevention, quality improvements), subject to a balance of interests;
- legal obligation (where required by law).
5. Retention periods
5.1. Data is kept no longer than necessary for the processing purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.
5.2. Indicative criteria:
- account and profile data — while the account is active and/or as needed to provide the service;
- comments and user content — while published and/or while the account exists, subject to moderation rules and legal requirements;
- report data and moderation logs — for the period needed to review cases, resolve disputes, handle appeals, and comply with the law (typically a limited period after a case is closed);
- data used for registration restrictions and abuse tracking — while such protective measures are needed, unless the law requires otherwise;
- messages and related metadata — while stored for the messaging feature and/or while the account exists, subject to moderation, security, and legal requirements;
- search data — while retained in the App for your convenience or until you delete it or delete your account, unless longer retention is needed to run the service;
- security and error logs — for a reasonable period for incident investigation and stability improvements.
5.3. After account deletion, some data may remain for a limited time in backups and/or to the extent required for legal compliance, security, or dispute resolution.
6. Recipients of data
The Operator may engage processors to run the App. Data may be shared with:
- hosting/cloud infrastructure and server database providers (including storage of moderation and report data on the Operator’s infrastructure);
- monitoring and crash-reporting services, if used;
- analytics services, if used;
- authentication/notification providers (for example, e-mail/push), if used;
- competent authorities — where there is a lawful basis and requests.
Processors receive data only to the extent necessary for their tasks and, where applicable, must protect it contractually.
7. Third-party SDKs/services (important)
The App uses and may use third-party libraries/SDKs and services. In particular, Firebase (Google LLC) may be used for authentication, account data storage, and related features — under Google’s policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Such services may collect technical data (identifiers, events, crash logs, etc.) under their own policies.
Certain features (feed, comments, messages, search, reports, moderation) may be processed through the Operator’s server-side APIs; they supplement this Policy and do not relieve the Operator of responsibility for processing within the App.
A list of specific SDKs and policy links may also appear under “About” / “Privacy” inside the App.
8. International transfers
8.1. Data may be processed on servers in various countries, depending on infrastructure and processors.
8.2. The Operator takes reasonable steps to ensure lawful and secure transfers, as required by applicable law.
9. Security measures
The Operator applies reasonable technical and organisational measures, including (where appropriate): TLS encryption, access controls, activity logging, backups, and data minimisation.
The User understands that absolute security on the internet is not achievable.
10. User rights
Depending on applicable law, the User may have the right to:
- request access to their data and a copy;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of data and/or the account (where grounds exist);
- restrict processing or object to processing in cases provided by law;
- withdraw consent where processing is consent-based;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
11. Managing data and permissions
11.1. You control profile photo and comments through the App interface (where editing/deletion is available).
11.2. Permissions (photos/camera, etc.) can be revoked in the device OS settings.
11.3. Some features may be unavailable without the relevant permissions.
12. Children and age limits
The App is not intended for users under 16, unless otherwise stated in the App interface and/or allowed by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided data, stop using the App and delete such data through available features (if any).
13. Privacy-related enquiries
13.1. Enquiries about privacy, access, correction, account deletion, and exercising data subject rights may be sent:
- by e-mail: gamesearch16@gmail.com;
- through channels inside the App available at the time;
- through the App’s store listing (where available).
Step-by-step account deletion in the App is described in section 16.
13.2. Response time depends on the complexity of the request; the Operator aims to reply within a reasonable time unless applicable law sets different rules.
14. Changes to the Policy
The Operator may update the Policy. The current version is published in the App and/or on the App’s store page. Continued use after publication means acceptance of the updated Policy.
15. Public availability
The current text of the Policy and User Agreement may be published at (depending on server configuration):
- https://lojriwvx.fvds.ru/idgb/legal/privacy
- https://lojriwvx.fvds.ru/idgb/legal/eula
(Short aliases such as `https://lojriwvx.fvds.ru/privacy.html` may exist if configured on the web server.)
16. Account deletion
You can delete your account directly in the App (where that feature is available in your version).
How to delete your account:
- open the App;
- go to Settings (or your profile / account screen);
- choose Delete account (or the equivalent) and follow the on-screen steps.
After deletion:
- your profile data and user content are deleted or anonymised in line with technical capabilities and applicable law;
- some data may be retained for a limited time for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution (see also section 5).
You may also request account deletion by e-mailing gamesearch16@gmail.com (include the account e-mail you use to sign in).
This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the GameSearch application distributed on Google Play.
